Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of Celcom Axiata Berhad said Xpax Fantasy Fest 2015 will be a place for youths to battle it out either in gaming tournaments or cosplay competitions, or just come for the fun experience including a chance to win cash and prizes.
“This festival is an outlet to explore and express their creativity, including showcasing their skills in gaming, cosplay and anime. It gives them an opportunity to escape from their daily lives and share their thoughts and experience with the community.
“We invite everyone, both existing and new MAGIC SIM customers to share and experience this unique festival, with only having to purchase or reload with the RM5 starter pack during the event,” he said.
MAGIC SIM customers will experience exclusive privileges like the eligibility to participate and play games and activities like VR360 (inclusive of 5 virtual reality games), Purikura (free photo taking and digital print out) and the first 200 customers can also enjoy FREE Naruto favorite Ramen.
Celcom’s partnership with Sony will allow customers to enjoy first touch of the “all new” Street Fighter 5, which will be previewed for the first time in Malaysia only during Xpax Fantasy Fest 2015, with its expected release date in February 2016.

The main highlights of Xpax Fantasy Fest 2015 include a cosplay competition which is broken into two categories; solo and group, which would be judged by a panel of international celebrity cosplayers like Misa (Taiwan), King (Taiwan), Danielle (Brazil) and Masazi (Japan).
Cosplay contestants will stand a chance to win cash and prizes totaling up to RM10,000, and the champion of the solo category will also win a four day three night visit to Osaka, Japan where they can experience the Animax Music event as well as a tour around the city of Osaka.
The ever popular Dota2 tournament which consists of the traditional 5 vs 5 tournament style and Dota2 game mods like Pudge Wars, 10 vs 10 and Skillshot Wars, totaling up to more than RM10,000 in cash and prizes to be won.
Other console gaming competitions include FIFA 16 and Rocket League, as well as various trading card competition games like Hearthstone, Magic The Gathering, Pokemon, and Vangard, with cash and prizes up to RM10,000 to be won.
Special perks after the event will also be given MAGIC SIM customers which include 10 percent discount on all Dota 2, Card Games and Gaming peripherals in all Thunder Match outlets until end of December 2015, sponsored by TMTonline.
Adding to the fun, there will be a marketplace where customers can simply enjoy or purchase their favorite collectibles and games that are open to the public.
