U MOBILE ANCHORS EAST COAST PRESENCE WITH NEW STORE IN KUANTAN
Telco celebrates opening of 14th Store with attractive promotions and giveaways
U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most innovative and dynamic mobile service provider, stayed true to its promise as the youngest operator in Malaysia, to expand its coverage and presence nationwide with its new store in Kuantan. U Mobile anchored itself for the first time on the shores of the East Coast of Malaysia with much colour and exuberance when it opened its 14th nationwide outlet on Tuesday.
The new store in the Kuantan Perdana commercial area, which is located in the heart of Kuantan, represents U Mobile’s gateway to the East Coast. This is very much part of the company’s strategy to continue to expand its footprint, bringing its flexible plans and affordable products and services closer to its customers.
CEO of U Mobile, Jaffa Sany Ariffin said, “Customers continue to be our utmost priority and the opening of our first store in the East Coast is proof of our commitment to expanding our presence to make it more convenient for U Mobile customers to enjoy all the benefits of being a U Mobile subscriber.”
“Our presence in East Coast is in line with our three-pronged strategy, which is to broaden our network coverage and infrastructure, offer innovative products and services to build our brand and thirdly, to extend our reach through traditional and non-traditional distribution channels,” he added.
To celebrate this milestone, the opening of the store was officiated by Alex Tan, Sales Director of U Mobile; Kevin Yip, Head of Device & Branch Operations of U Mobile and Michael Mah, Head of Sales of U Mobile.
U Mobile orange balloons were released and flags were placed on the floor stands, signifying Kuantan as being donned with U Mobile’s colors. An explosion of confetti followed suit with a lion dance performance which added a celebratory mood to the new store opening alongside the free shopping, cinema and food voucher giveaways, on spot Question and Answer trivia, spin the wheel activities and many more.
In conjunction with the store opening, new postpaid and supplementary plan customers were rewarded with a free Nokia Asha device worth RM360. In addition, early birds were rewarded for their efforts, as the first 20 Postpaid or Prepaid plan customers received U Mobile’s limited edition 8MB Dragon thumb drive.
The promotions included a lucky draw as well. Eight lucky customers who signed up on the launch day took home either the Blackberry Playbook 64GB, the innovative Blackberry Torch 9800, a ZTE V9 Pad or the 5 HTC Desire S devices that were up for grabs.
