FOX International Channels (FIC) and HyppTV present the new season of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt for the first time in Malaysia!
If you dream of being the next big star in the Korean music scene, hurry up and start uploading video submissions of your best K-Pop sing and/or dance routines as the search for the next tvN K-Pop Star Hunt has begun!
tvN HD, available on HyppTV channel 181, is teaming up with CJ E&M – Korea’s No.1 Media and Entertainment Company and CUBE Entertainment – the most promising entertainment management company in Asia – to select the most outstanding contestants from Malaysia and across 8 other territories in South East Asia to be the next K-Pop Star. tvN also announced that for the audition in Malaysia, which will take place in September, Jeremy Kung, Executive Vice president of New Media, TM has been appointed as the local judge and he will be joined by the representatives from CJ E&M, CUBE Entertainment and tvN as the panel of judges.
The winner for this talent search will receive an exclusive trainee contract from Korea’s biggest media group CJ E&M and CUBE Entertainment together with an official album release and a debut stage performance at Korea’s leading international music award show, the 2013 MAMA.

The first season of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt was widely popular in Asia, attracting the eyeballs of over 50 million viewers. Countless popular K-stars will be featured every week, mentoring the contestants, performing in the show and even taking the judging roles.
Last year, tvN K-Pop Star Hunt winner Thai-native Sorn bagged an exclusive trainee contract with South Korea’s top record label Cube Entertainment, home to A-list pop groups such as BEAST, 4Minute and female artiste G.NA. Thanks to the reality series, Sorn has soared to stardom and has moved to Seoul for her debut album training.

K-Pop fans of any age will have until 31 August 2012 to upload their video submissions.
