Calvin admits, it was because of Elvis that he went into the Entertainment industry, first as a musician then as a Deejay in the early 90s.
“I can still remember my Mum in tears reading about Elvis’ death in the newspapers on 17th August, 1977. I was 7 years old. I can still remember the report showing an aerial view picture of Elvis’ funeral procession. It was news that shocked the world.â€
Calvin’s love for the King of Rock n’ Roll began at an early age listening to his late father’s records and listening to RTM’s Blue Network radio station.
“Ol’ Skool gives you what the local radio stations today aren’t giving you enough of – the Golden oldies from the 50s and 60s and hits from the 70s and 80s. Music has a way of bringing back some fond memories and that’s what we try to do here.â€
