Sempena sambutan The Assistant disenarai pendek dalam Festival Filem Udine Far East di Itali dan Festival Filem Hebat Antarabangsa Neuchâtel (NIFFF) di Switzerland, Act2 Productions mengadakan tayangan khas di Teater GSC Aurum dengan kehadiran Perdana Menteri Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob dan YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Annuar bin Musa.
Ditulis, diarahkan dan diterbitkan oleh industri wunderkind, Adrian Teh (PASKAL: The Movie), ‘The Assistant’ akan menjadi filem blockbuster aksi tempatan pertama yang melayari pawagam sejak industri teater dibuka semula. Filem ini baru-baru ini mencipta sejarah dengan dua Pengiktirafan Pesta Filem Antarabangsa.

“The Assistant” melambangkan kemasyhuran antarabangsa Malaysia, di mana pengarah Adrian Teh menyatakan “Saya berbesar hati untuk diiktiraf oleh kedua-dua Festival Filem Udine Far East dan Festival Filem Hebat Antarabangsa Neuchâtel. Filem ini telah mencabar saya untuk mencuba kamera baru dan helah aksi sebagai serta cabaran penggambaran filem semasa wabak dengan tarikh penggambaran bermula pada Mac 2021. Kami menantikan tayangan perdana “The Assistant”, Kami berharap penonton wayang di seluruh Malaysia akan menikmati filem kami.” Filem itu bakal ditayangkan di pawagam utama Malaysia di seluruh negara pada 19 Mei ini.
Filem aksi thriller ini mengisahkan Zafik (Iedil Dzuhrie) yang dipenjara secara salah. Selepas kehilangan segala-galanya, dia bertemu dengan Feroz (Hairul Azreen) yang kelihatan sentiasa muncul pada masa yang tepat. Apabila masa berlalu, adakah Zafik akan mengetahui motif sebenar Feroz? Filem ini turut dibintangi oleh Henley Hii sebagai Sam dan Farali Khan sebagai Sofia.
The Assistant merupakan kolaborasi kelima antara Adrian Teh dan Hairul Azreen yang turut berkolaborasi dalam PASKAL: The Movie (2018), WIRA (2019), Pasal Kau (2020) dan Ada Hantu (2021).
The Assistant akan ditayangkan di pawagam mulai 19 Mei 2022, secara eksklusif di pawagam berhampiran anda.

In celebration of The Assistant being shortlisted in Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy and Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) in Switzerland, Act2 Productions held a special screening at GSC Aurum Theater with attendance from Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob and Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (MCMC) YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Annuar bin Musa.
Written, directed, and produced by industry wunderkind, Adrian Teh (PASKAL: The Movie), ‘The Assistant’ will be the first local action blockbuster to hit cinemas since the theatrical industry reopened. The film has recently made history with two International Film Fest Recognition.

“The Assistant” symbolizes Malaysia’s international fame, on which director Adrian Teh stated “I am honored to be recognized by both Udine Far East Film Festival and Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival. This film has challenged me to try out new camera and stunt tricks as well as the challenge of shooting the film during the pandemic with shoot date starting in March 2021. We are looking forward to the premiere of “The Assistant”, We hope that the moviegoers across Malaysia will enjoy our film.” The film is set to hit major Malaysian cinemas nationwide this 19th May.
The action-thriller tells the story of Zafik (Iedil Dzuhrie) who was wrongfully imprisoned. After losing everything, he meets Feroz (Hairul Azreen) who seems to always show up at just the right time. As time goes on, will Zafik find out Feroz’s true motives? The film also stars Henley Hii as Sam and Farali Khan as Sofia.
The Assistant is the fifth collaboration between Adrian Teh and Hairul Azreen who also collaborated on PASKAL: The Movie (2018), WIRA (2019), Pasal Kau (2020) and Ada Hantu (2021).
The Assistant will be showing in cinemas from 19th May 2022, exclusively in cinemas near you.
