TGV Cinemas Hosts the First Piano Duo Concert Extravaganza
TGV Cinemas Tebrau City played host to the Piano Duo Concert Extravaganza organised by Oons Music Workshop that witnessed the performance of 70 over students showcasing their talent in playing the piano. This inaugural concert held in a unique cinema setting is an experimental platform for music students to produce great piano music beyond the conventional classical concert environment.
The very first concert was held in 2004 and this year marks the fifth edition of this piano extravaganza aimed at unearthing new talent. The concert kick started with a couple of duet performances and concluded with a rousing performance featuring 12 pianists playing one piano all at once.
“TGV Cinemas is proud to be a part of this inaugural initiative by Oons Music Workshop in fostering music education amongst Malaysians. This is a very positive step taken by music gurus in developing talent in music; in this case in playing the piano. TGV Cinemas will also be partnering with this event next year and will set a new benchmark in this field by bringing together the best in piano artistry and movie magic,” said Kenny Wong, CEO of TGV Cinemas.
“TGV Cinemas today played the perfect host in having the very first concert in a cinema. This is one of the more innovative concepts developed by TGV Cinemas that demonstrates the various events that can be conducted in a cinema hall. Besides concerts, our cinemas are also available for corporate events, private movie screenings and even birthday celebrations. We are proud of our team at TGV Cinemas for putting this concert together and are confident that we can be the perfect host for your events,” added Kenny Wong.
