Menurut Comicbookmovie, filem animasi sekuel Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Part 1 telah ditunda lebih 7 bulan iaitu dari tarikh 7 Oktober 2022 ke tarikh baru, 2 Jun 2023. Sementara bahagian keduanya, Part 2, hanya akan ditayangkan di pawagam pada 29 Mac 2024.
Perubahan tarikh Spider-Verse pastinya mengecewakan peminat yang tidak sabar untuk menonton sekuel animasi pemenang anugerah itu. Namun, kekecewaan peminat mungkin sedikit terubat apabila tarikh tayangan Madame Web telah ditetapkan Sony.
Filem terbaru dalam Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SPUMC) itu ditetapkan tayangan pada 7 Julai 2023.
Butiran plot Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Part 1 masih belum didedahkan, tetapi telah disahkan bahawa sekuel akan datang bakal menampilkan beberapa versi Spider-Man yang baru. Peter B. Parker Gwen Stacy, Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir dan SP//dr dijangka kembali, dan penjahatnya dikhabarkan adalah Johnathon Ohnn, AKA Spot.
Bintang Insecure, Issa Rae akan membawa watak Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman.
Joaquim Dos Santos (Voltron: Legendary Defender; The Legend of Korra), Kemp Powers (Soul) dan Justin K. Thompson akan mengarah, manakala Phil Lord dan Chris Miller menulis lakon layar bersama David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings).
Lord dan Miller turut menjadi penerbit bersama Amy Pascal, Avi Arad dan Christina Steinberg.
Sementara itu, Madame Web dibintangi Dakota Johnson yang akan memainkan watak utama, dengan bintang Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney menyertai barisan pelakon dengan watak yang masih belum didedahkan. S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders) akan mengarah berdasarkan lakon layar yang ditulis oleh Matt Sazaman (Morbius) dan Burk Sharpless.
