[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n continuing the tradition of Malaysian motorsports’ many initiatives, the inaugural South East Asia Motorcycle Business Forum is scheduled for the 9th of October 2013 in conjunction with the Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2013 which takes place over the weekend of 13th October 2013. Sepang International Circuit (SIC), the home of Malaysian Motorsports will play host to this ground-breaking event which will feature key players in the region’s motorcycle and motorsports industry.

The Motorcycle Business Forum is a must attend event not just for two wheel motorsport’s regional commercial community but also catered for any individual or corporation with the intention of being a part of the two wheel motorsports industry; from sponsors, manufacturers, venues for hospitality and media. It gives a chance to interact with the biggest players in the region’s motorcycle and motorsports industry while offering a unique opportunity to listen to new ideas, debate current issues and network with industry professionals.
STEVE DAWSON from Fox Sports will moderate the Forum which includes keynotes speakers; LUCIO CECCHINELLO – CEO & Team Principal of LCR Honda MotoGP Team, PETER CLIFFORD – Spokesperson for the Red Bull Rookies Cup, LIVIO SUPPO – Team Principal of Honda Repsol Team and SHUHEI NAKAMOTO – Executive Vice President of Honda Racing Corporation. Other speakers will include leaders from the motorcycle and motorsports fraternity, including DORNA Sports (commercial rights holder of MotoGP), team sponsors, the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
There will also be an “up close and personal” session with MotoGP riders with special appearance by MARC MÁRQUEZ and DANI PEDROSA of Repsol Honda Team and local hero ZULFAHMI KHAIRUDDIN representing Red Bull KTM Ajo Team.
The Forum will be divided into a two-part session, where leading industry experts will give invaluable insights into the business of international motorsports while the second half is an informal cocktail event where delegates are given the opportunity to network in a more relaxed atmosphere. It is designed to be an event where business relationships are forged; deals are signed, important contacts are made and the latest information exchanged.
