‘Seoul International Drama Awards 2010’
They have done it yet again! Malaysia’s hippest and trendiest television network 8TV once again reigned victorious, as the winners of the ‘Seoul International Drama Awards 2010’ were announced at the KBS Hall in Seoul on the 10th of September 2010. Organized by the Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee and Korean Broadcasters Association, The ‘Seoul International Drama Awards 2010’ is a world-wide drama festival, that successfully closed entry registration with 172 dramas from 43 countries this year.
This is an award to reward and recognize the work of individuals and to give reverence to the accomplished work of many talents around the globe. The awards credits not only Korean and Asian hits but also American as well as British dramas that have attracted a huge fan base and has had the highest view rate records. It salutes a wide spectrum of talent including popular TV Dramas, Best Actor & Actress, Best Director as well as Best Writer.
At the announcement of winners, the eminent series Ghost 2 proudly secured themselves the Jury’s Special Prizes. This is an award given to the story value and the consideration for participation in a drama, in which the expression of ones culture, history, traditions and values is portrayed in a creative way. The Jury’s Special Prizes are recommended by a jury panel in a preliminary screening as well as the Organizing Committee, after which it is endorsed by the panel and finally selected to contend. The other winner in the same category is “Where is Elisa?” from Chile.
The panel of jurors include Chang Han-Sung, President of Korea Broadcasting Professional Association, Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Format, Israel, Canada’s George Leclere, Director of Banff World Television Awards, Liang Chen, Assistant President of TV Drama/Film at SMG,China, Sandra Jobling¸ CEO of Coastal Production, United Kingdom, Tan Wei-Lyn, Assistant VP of Drama/Factual At Mediacorp TV Studio, Singapore and Japan’s Yuko Yoshino, TBS Producer.
Ghost 2 revolves around the life of Eza, a full-fledged journalist who has a loving fiancé by her side. Now working on her latest investigation, the disappearance of Alicia Soo, a beautiful socialite and daughter of the prominent defense attorney, Edmund Soo, Eza follows a series of clues that leads to the discovery of Harum. The only problem is Harum is dead.
Now faced with another murder case, Eza’s investigation leads her to confront many suspects, and later finds out that Alicia was actually Harum half-sister through Edmund.
In the mean time, Eza keeps receiving pictures of various victims from an anonymous sender. They all have one thing in common – a heart in a triangle carved on their wrist. Who is this mystery person? Could he be the one responsible for the murders?
