Crowds gathered in One Utama Shopping Centre on Saturday to watch their favourite stars collaborate with Samsung Malaysia Electronics in its latest campaign, the GALAXY Note 3 and GALAXY Gear Gear Samsung’s Experience Consultant Celebrity Day.
As avid fans of Samsung’s flagship devices, the GALAXY Note 3 and GALAXY Gear, local celebrities, Farid Kamil, Intan Ladyana, Yana Samsudin, Siow Hui Mei, and Jason Phang collaborated with Samsung to share their enthusiasm for the devices with local Malaysians.
The personalities even engaged in a friendly challenge to see who among them could share their enthusiasm most for the GALAXY Note 3 and GALAXY Gear with fans at the concourse area of One Utama’s New Wing.
Local Stars Bring People Closer to the GALAXY Note 3 and GALAXY Gear
“Firstly, I’d like to say I’m very excited to be here to share my enthusiasm for the GALAXY Note 3 and GALAXY Gear. I also feel very fortunate to be given these two latest Samsung’s flagship devices. They really help me with my day-to-day life. As a very active person, the GALAXY Gear simplifies my use of the GALAXY Note 3 in totality. I’ve been using both devices for two weeks and I was very pleased to share my interests with my fans,” said Farid Kamil.
Another personality, Siow Hui Mei, spoke of the experience sharing her love for Samsung’s flagship devices to fans, “It was a unique opportunity for us as we got the chance to connect with our fans and share what we love most about the GALAXY Note 3 and GALAXY Gear. These are two very amazing devices and we are very pleased to participate in such an innovative campaign by Samsung.”
Farid Kamil is a well-known model turned actor who has been dubbed ‘Hero Melayu’ for several outstanding performances in dramas and movies. Intan Ladyana, on the other hand, is a young lawyer-turned actress, model and TV host. Yana Samsudin is a multi-talented personality who has dabbled in directing, script writing, acting, singing and modeling. Siow Hui Mei is a seasoned TV host and actress while Jason Phang is a budding Disc Jockey and music enthusiast.
“At Samsung, we understand our consumers and we always strive to give what matters most to them. We are very pleased with the result of the event, as it was a fresh approach to bringing people closer to their favourite stars and our flagship devices,” said Ng Long Shyang, Vice President of IT and Mobile Communications, Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
At the event, five lucky consumers walked away with a brand new GALAXY Gear to complement the GALAXY Note 3 through a lucky draw selected by each personality.
One lucky winner, Edison Lew, was no stranger to Samsung, as he was the very first Malaysian to purchase the GALAXY Note II last year. He said, “I bought the GALAXY Note 3 today because I am in IT and I need some of its features for my work. Somehow, once purchasing the device, I had a funny feeling that I would win the GALAXY Gear. That is why I waited here since early in the afternoon for the winner announcement. True enough, when the host announced my surname, I knew it was me! Of course, I am happy to have won the GALAXY Gear.”
