Samsung and Sungei Wang to Celebrate the New Year with 80,000 Revellers
Samsung is the Official Mobile Phone Sponsor for Sungei Wang Year End Countdown 2011 Street Party
Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn. Bhd., a global leader in consumer electronics celebrates the year end with a big bang by partnering with Sungei Wang as Official Mobile Phone Sponsor for the much anticipated Sungei Wang Year End Countdown 2011 Street Party.
The celebration will kick off at 6.30pm with various performances while the Street Party Concert will commence at 9.30pm on 31st December 2010 and end at 1.00am on 1st January 2011. At the stroke of midnight, there will be a stunning fireworks display to usher in the New Year. The Street Party will be held at Jalan Sultan Ismail, in front of Sungei Wang Plaza.

Party goers can also enjoy amazing Samsung mobile phone promotion, product giveaways and other exciting games and activities at Samsung redemption booth from 10.00am to mid night on New Year’s Eve. Local celebrity emcee, Mei Yan and Jeff Chin will also make their appearance between 4.00pm to 7.30pm to interact with the crowd. In conjunction with this exciting Street Party, Samsung will also be giving away free VIP passes (Standing Zone) to customers who purchase Samsung phones from any Samsung authorised dealers in Sungei Wang Plaza.
For customers who spend RM900 and above, they will receive four VIP passes; RM400 to RM899 will receive three VIP passes and RM399 and below will receive two VIP passes to the Street Party. The promotion is valid from 17th to 31st December 2010.
Customers who purchase a phone at any Samsung authorised dealers in Sungei Wang Plaza on 31st December 2010 are welcome to redeem exclusive gifts from Samsung’s redemption booth.
Additionally, customers who purchase a Samsung phone during the entire promotional period will stand a chance to walk home with Samsung’s ground-breaking mobile device – GALAXY Tab worth RM2,699 during the lucky draw session at Samsung redemption booth on 31st December at 7.00pm.
Organised in conjunction with the New Year Count Down 2011, the annual Street Party is expected to host a whopping 80,000 party revellers, making it the biggest Chinese Street Party held in Malaysia.
The party will feature two international artistes; Power Station, Taiwanese rock band formed by two brothers Yan Zhi Lin and You Qiu Xing and Tank, singer and songwriter from Taiwan. There will also be nine local talents comprising of A Bin, Lan Kah Fai, Tedd Chan, Thomas Jack, Hao Ren, Yu Heng, Lin Kah Jun, ManHand and Yise Loo who will sing crowd favourite songs at the event.
