Samsung’s introduces Malaysia to its very first Ultrabook™
Samsung Malaysia Electronics, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today introduced into the Malaysian market its brand new Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA, a new type of Ultrabook™ which will change the perception of Ultrabooks™ among consumers.
Packed in a thin and light form factor and available in 13” and 14”, the new Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA is just 14.9~17.6mm thin and 1.45kg light. It delivers incredible experiences as it is powered by a 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor; combined with ExpressCache™ by Diskeeper and a powerful AMD Radeon™ HD graphics card. As a result, the Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA is able to fast boot in just 20 seconds, wake up in 2 seconds, whilst web browsing is twice as fast as the previous generation notebook PCs.

Apart from the exceptional processing performance powered by Intel® Core™ i5-2467M processor with up to 8GB memory and the ExpressCache™ by Diskeeper, the Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA 14” offers up to 1TB ultra storage capacity. With vast development on digital image devices and media platforms, files are expanding in size every day and the 1TB storage within Series 5 ULTRA 14” eliminates the hassle of bringing additional peripheral storage devices.
Battery life is also crux for laptop computers and notebooks, and the Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA delivers up to 6.4 hours of battery life on a single charge, to make sure users enjoy the ultra-features throughout the day. Furthermore, the Samsung Battery Life Plus built within the Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA is a true anti-aging battery technology which keeps 80% of the cell’s original capacity in a life cycle lasting up to 1,500 charging cycles over 3 years. Hence, the battery can last up to five times longer than other notebooks within the market.

Samsung’s superior LCD technology with 300nit HD LED SuperBright screen, Image Enhancer technology and anti-reflective screen provide an enhanced, ultra-viewing experience with the new Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA. In allowing greater connection to other devices, the Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA is equipped with a full-size HDMI port along with one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, 4-in-1 multi SD card slot, Ethernet and a 1.3M HD webcam. For maximum convenience, the Series 5 ULTRA 14” also features an integrated Optical Disc Drive that enables both reading and recording of various disk formats.
