Over the past few years, MTV has positioned itself at the intersection of music, creativity and youth culture. Reflecting today’s millennia’s hopes, dreams, talent and ambition, the channel has provided youths opportunities to fulfil their dreams – which is why a number of MTV initiatives have not been only social, but has also centred around searching for talent around Asia.
MTV is back again with yet another effort to provide just the right platform for young singers and songwriters to flaunt their talents. The inaugural “Project Aloft Star, Amplified by MTV” in Asia saw over 200 talented singer/songwriters enter to BE DISCOVERED. Unsigned bands and artists were earlier invited to showcase their talents by uploading an original video showcasing their music to http://www.mtvasia.com/projectaloftstar for the chance to be named Asia’s first Project Aloft Star winner.
