The series follows a group of rich, privileged, and elite high school students who are groomed to take over their families’ business empires. Kim Tan (Lee Min-ho) is a handsome and wealthy heir to a large Korean conglomerate who is sent to study abroad in the U.S. In reality, it’s a form of exile, as his elder half-brother, Kim Won, (Choi Jin-hyuk) schemes to take over the family business in Korea. While in the States, Kim Tan bumps into Cha Eun-sang (Park Shin-hye), who arrives from Korea in search of her older sister who claims that she is in need of money for her wedding. When Kim Tan’s fiancée, Rachel Yoo (Kim Ji-won), arrives to bring him back to Korea, his heart is torn between love and duty. Both Eun-sang and Kim Tan return to Korea, only to meet again. Slowly, he finds himself falling for her, later realizing that she’s the daughter of his family’s mute housekeeper. Meanwhile, Rachel’s future stepbrother and Kim Tan’s former best friend, Choi Young-do (Kim Woo-bin) starts falling for Eun-sang as well. Troubles arise as the heirs realize the differences between money and the real world.

As their stomach begin to growl, they go ahead to devour the humongous okonomiyaki micky that includes six noodle servings and two cabbages. Riding on the humongous theme, they also check out a giant calligraphy piece produced on an 8m long paper using a large brush with a 30cm long and 15cm wide head. After shopping at Mizuki Shigeru Road and exploring Tottori Beach, they decide to go sea kayaking. They finally end their stay by chartering a boat offshore to watch the ocean-bound aurora where visitors bask in the captivating vision of bluish white waves.

Nicknamed the “Chinese Garbo”, Ruan Ling Yu began her acting career when she was 16 years old but ended tragically when she committed suicide at the age of 24. The film alternates between the present scenes (production talks between director Kwan, Cheung, co-star Carina Lau and interviews of witnesses who knew Ruan), re-created scenes with Cheung acting in this movie and extracts from Ruan’s original films including The Goddess and New Women.
