Lagu ini adalah terjemahan daripada single asal nyanyiannya sendiri, Tila dalam Bahasa Filipina yang dilancarkan pada tahun 2015.
Sebagai inisiatif OFFMUTE dalam mengukuhkan nama artis yang sedang meningkat naik di rantau ini, proses rakaman Suara Hati dihasilkan dalam Bahasa Indonesia dengan bantuan penerbit muzik profilik, komposer dan pakar instrumen, The Ringmaster. Beliau pernah bekerasama dengan penyanyi tersohor Filipina termasuk band UDD serta Ang Bandang Shirley.
Menurut Clara, dia menyedari kepentingan untuk menghasilkan lagu ini dengan baik agar ia kedengaran asli serta tidak lari daripada lenggok asalnya.
“Adalah sangat penting buat saya untuk menghasilkan lagu ini kedengaran asli dan masih mengekalkan lenggok asalnya.
“Penerbit saya, The Ringmaster, memudahkan proses itu kerana dia sebenarnya memang pernah membesar di Indonesia dan fasih bertutur bahasa itu. Dia banyak bantu saya betulkan sebutan serta penyampaian dalam aspek vokal.
“Selain itu, Berto Pah, yang juga pemain Sasando Indonesia, turut membantu dalam menjadikan bunyi lagu ini lebih asli,” ujarnya.
Kata Clara, Suara Hati mengisahkan tentang cinta yang ada di sekeliling manusia. Penceritaan lagu ini juga tidak berbeza dengan lagu asalnya yang popular sebelum ini.
“Lagu ini mengisahkan tentang cinta, cinta ada di mana-mana, ia ada bersama kita dan di sekeliling kita.
“Suara Hati dan lagu asalnya Tila tidak membawa maksud berbeza, ia diterjemahkan ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia tanpa mengubah maksud asal lagu ini,” katanya lagi.
Memandangkan Suara Hati mendapat sambutan positif, Clara yang bernaung di bawah label OFFMUTE terbuka untuk menyanyikan lagu dalam Bahasa Malaysia dan bahasa-bahasa lain sekiranya berpeluang pada masa akan datang.
“Memandangkan Suara Hati mendapat sambutan yang baik, jadi saya tidak keberatan untuk menyanyikan lagu yang diterjemahkan ke bahasa-bahasa lain juga,” katanya gembira.
Terdahulu, lagu Tila mendapat sambutan luar biasa apabila distrim lebih 6 juta di Spotify dan YouTube.
Kini, Suara Hati boleh dinikmati di semua platform digital menerusi OFFMUTE.
Clara Benin Releases First International Single “Suara Hati”
Originally released in Filipino as “Tila,” the folk-pop tune was re-recorded in Bahasa Indonesia as part of OFFMUTE’s efforts to empower emerging acts across and beyond the region
Award-winning singer-songwriter Clara Benin has finally dropped her first international single “Suara Hati” under Southeast Asian label, OFFMUTE.
The folk-pop tune, which showcases Benin’s stripped-down sound and delicately intimate songwriting style, was originally written and released in 2015 as “Tila,” a Filipino track off her debut EP, Riverchild. To date, the song has amassed more than 6 million streams on Spotify and YouTube combined, becoming one of her most commercially successful releases.
As part of OFFMUTE’s initiative to champion its roster of new and emerging music acts across and beyond the region, “Suara Hati” was re-recorded by Benin in Bahasa Indonesia with the help of prolific music producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist The Ringmaster, who has worked with critically acclaimed Filipino bands such as UDD and Ang Bandang Shirley.
“It was really important for me to make this song sound authentic and true to its language,” Benin shares in a statement. “My producer, The Ringmaster, made that easy for me because he actually grew up in Indonesia and speaks Bahasa fluently. He helped me a lot with the pronunciation and delivery of the vocals. Berto Pah, who is an Indonesian Sasando player, also helped in making the song sound authentic.”
With “Suara Hati” prodding listeners into believing that “love is everywhere; it’s within us and it’s all around us,” Clara Benin brings heartfelt sentimentality into even clearer focus and delivers a timeless material that not only resonates on a universal level, but also cuts across cultural and generational divide. “I think the important thing is to know and understand the message of the song, which is simply love,” says the talented solo artist. “I really tried to channel that message into the way I delivered the vocals and played the guitar.”
The release of “Suara Hati” comes with a lyric video in Bahasa Indonesia which features Clara Benin performing the song with her acoustic guitar, and a backdrop of flowers and nature elements projected against the wall.
