Malaysian fans of Far East Movement, the multi award-winning Asian-American pop sensation, will have a chance to meet them. Details below:
Date: 7th September 2013, Saturday
Time: 8pm
Venue: Sunway Pyramid, Main Entrance
Remarks: first serve basis. No ticket required.
This is the third visit to Malaysia by the international superstar group – and the first time that fans will get to meet them up close and personal. Fans who come with the group’s Dirty Bass Special Edition, their latest release, will have the privilege of joining the Priority Lane queue for the autograph session. There will also be a CD booth for those who want to purchase album.
The Dirty Bass Special Edition CD features two new tracks and seven previously released songs, including Like A G6, the group’s first number one hit single in the United States. The song was the first to hit the top spot on the singles chart in the U.S. by an Asian-American artist since Kyu Sakamoto scored the number one spot with Sukiyaki in 1963.
“With more Asian American stars on the rise, it’s no surprise that Far East Movement continues to make great strides in extending their success globally,” says Loan Cheong, Managing Director of Universal Music Malaysia.
According to Cheong, Dirty Bass has been certified GOLD with a combination of CD, digital downloads, and streaming sales.
The group found fame with their breakout hit song, Round Round, which was featured in the box-office hit movie Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift. Far East Movement is currently collaborating with Tokio Hotel on a new song titled If I Die Tomorrow.
Far East Movement is scheduled to co-headline the World Stage 2013 together with Robin Thicke on 8 September at Sunway Surf Beach.
