Team Kaitaki : What A Memorable Time
15 Jun 2011 – Day 2. We had a great day at Hanmer Springs, the famous for its Thermal Pools and Spa. After breakfast at the Isobel’s Restaurant which is located on the ground floor of the Heritage Hanmer Springs we begin our first adventure of the day. We start our first move at the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa. It’s just a 3 minute walk from the Heritage.
Our first challange
We were given a warm welcome by Mr. Scotts. He guided us during the challange. The first race starts with Mohamad Uzair vs Fanly, swimming against the water flows. Before entering, we were given costume and towels each. After the first challange, we then move to the most exciting superbowl. We slide on single and dual inflatable tube towering about 15 metres above the Hamner complex.
Superbowl Experience
We were thrilled by the speed and size of the superbowl and have fun too. After the challange, we get into the sulphur pools. The water so wonderful ranging temperatures at 40 degree celcius. We took picture with mountain snow cap background. Thanks to Mr Scotts willingly entertain us during our visit.
Team Kaitaki at Thrillseekers Adventures
Our next challange was at the Thrillseekers Adventures. Here we met Mr Darrel. He gave some briefing on how to use gun and shoot claybirds. Each of us taking turn to challange the claybird shooting. This really unforgettable experience. Thanks to Mr Darrel for giving us the chance to hold a gun and shoot claybirds. Thanks to Thrillseekers.co.nz and Tourism New Zealand plus AirAsia to have given us the precious experience.The Faces Go Places tour by AirAsia and Tourism of New Zealand really owesome and fantastic. It was fun and exciting.
Take lunch at Coffe Culture
At 3.00pm we had our lunch at Coffee Culture, Rangiora Town Centre. Thanks Tourism of New Zealand for sponsoring the lunch. We then move to Terrace Down, Centrebury for our next chellange. Along the way we enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Dairy Farms. It was magnificent views with perfect weather with the fabulous stunning snowy mountains.
Wow! Beautiful… fabulous restaurant. A warm welcome by Mr Rodger and thanks for the delicious dinner. Awaiting for the golf challenge tomorrow.
