Cornetto, the top ice cream choice of teenagers has announced I Am Neeta as the winner of the “Ride to Fame” contest. The Ride to Fame contest, brought together by Cornetto and Sony Music Malaysia ran from 14th April onwards, in search for the aspiring musician to perform before Taylor Swift at the sold-out concert.
Cornetto ‘Ride To Fame’ Contest Winner Announced
I Am Neeta, the only band amidst solo artistes namely Mark Adam, Deanna Hussin, Diandra Arjunaidi and Narmi emerged as the winner based on their powerful cover rendition of a Taylor Swift song. Each week, the contestants recorded and uploaded a video of a cover song. Fans voted for their favorite artiste through the Cornetto Facebook app, www.cornettoredtour.com.
Each song entry was also judged by professional judges Jennifer Thompson; Artist Manager, Show Producer and Music Activist, Alif Satar; Recording Artist, TV Presenter and Actor, and Hermond Cheng; General Manager, Sony Music Malaysia.

Throughout the contest period, I Am Neeta has performed cover version of Relakan Jiwa by Hazama, Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera, and Hanya Kau Yang Mampu by Aizat. For their final cover song, I Am Neeta performed a cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’.

The highly-anticipated Taylor Swift’s RED concert tour is set to hit the Putra Indoor Stadium on June 11.
