Kick starts the year as the first of two major world class fashion events to be held in KL
The much anticipated annual Mercedes- Benz STYLO FGP 2015 (MBSFGP2015) is now proudly part of two major fashion events in KL presented by luxury automaker, Mercedes Benz in partnership with STYLO International. Whilst the FGP serves as the opening act with electrifying fashion shows and lavish parties in secret locations, the Malaysian Fashion Week 2015 (MFW2015) closes the year as a dedicated trade fashion event showcasing the best in Malaysia and Asia.
This year, the MBSFGP2015 in ultimate fashion defiance and without rules, is reshaping fashion and inciting a revolution with the theme “Fashion Anarchy” from 25th to 28th March 2015 in Kuala Lumpur.
The fashion festival will open on 25th March at the Red Carpet, Encorp Strand with Fashion Anarchy – Rebel Revolution encompassing individualistic trends and insurgent installations. It will close with the annual Mercedes-Benz Gala and Awards night with Zang Toi’s ‘Mystique of Venice’ which took the recent New York Fashion Week by storm.
The inclusion of Zang Toi this year, paves the way of recognising successful Malaysians around the world. Zang Toi’s small town boy made big internationally is a definite inspirational story to every young, upcoming individual in the Malaysian fashion fraternity. Zang Toi will also be awarded the Industry Award in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of his fashion label, House of Toi at the press conference.
Also making an appearance at the press conference are 12 semi-finalists of its Emerging Designers Competition of 2015 comprising students from leading fashion schools around the country. The top 3 winners of the Emerging Designers Competition announced during the Gala Night will be further supported with a prize money and platform to create and showcase their first collection at the Malaysia Fashion Week 2015 later this year.
Another exciting feature at the MBSFGP2015 will be the unveiling of Reissiger Marine boats in partnership with Boatshed, the world’s largest yacht brokerage. Reissiger Marine, the maritime event partner of STYLO International will introduce a multifunctional lifestyle boat at the FGP this year as the highlight of a fashion exhibition to be held at Red Carpet, which will be simultaneously open to the public.
