Customers seeking the easier, more empowering, more advanced way to top up their Hotlink prepaid accounts, can now do so through self-service with the new Hotlink iChannels. Maxis Berhad (“Maxis”), Malaysia’s leading integrated communications service provider is making it possible through its partnership with the financial players leveraging on their existing ecosystem, for customers to enjoy an integration of top-up channels as never before. Topping up at the touch of a screen whether outdoors, indoors or across the world, is as easy as finding an ATM, logging online on your connected device, or dialing the all-new Maxis Mobile2Top-up USSD top-up menu service at *119# amongst other Hotlink iChannels.
Maxis’ Chief Operating Officer Jean-Pascal van Overbeke said: “We’re pleased to make it easier for our customers to top up by leveraging on Maxis’ convergence capabilities and on strong partnerships with financial players. We’ve made it possible to top up using all forms of currency of choice whether cash, from your bank accounts, or through prepaid, credit and debit facilities – and to do so conveniently through our seamless high-speed network or through more than 10,000 payment terminals nationwide. We’re also proud to be the first operator in Asia to offer top-up not only through our own and our partners’ service channels and payment systems, but also through a mobile USSD top-up menu service made possible by our commitment to simpler, more cutting edge services for the leading customer experience.”
Maxis Mobile2Top-Up enables customers to use any Malaysian-issued Visa or Mastercard, prepaid, credit and debit cards to pay for more top-up, at no additional cost as with all Hotlink iChannels.
The Hotlink iChannels collaboration between Maxis and an encompassing 20 partners from the financial services sector enables customers to top up their Hotlink credit through a wide network of avenues in addition to the new Maxis Mobile2Top-up: Ranging from Financial Process Exchange (FPX) facilities at hotlink.com.my to almost 10,000 terminals hosted by financial services partners; partners’ internet banking services; partners’ WAP, SMS and mobile banking channels and also Maxis’ PostAid Top Up service for postpaid customers to top up prepaid customers’ credit from their mobiles.
The self-service element of Hotlink’s iChannels provides a unique level of empowerment to customers to top up at will.
Added Mr van Overbeke, “Increasingly, there will be less distinction between paying for purchases at physical outlets or through virtual channels from your PC, mobile phone or other connected devices. Our customers demand the best fit for their individual needs and preferences – so we give them choices which are more intuitive, innovative and which confer a greater degree of control. Maxis’ ecosystem of converged channels and service innovation makes banking and payment facilities accessible to more Malaysians wherever they are – and topping up through Hotlink iChannels is just one part of the real-time transaction capability which will fuel a future of personal empowerment.”
The Easy Top-up Easy Rewards campaign which accompanies Maxis’ launch of the Hotlink iChannels is also complete with abundant rewards in the form of mobile credit and coveted devices being given out for topping up the faster, smarter way.
From 17 March till 14 September 2011, customers choosing to top up for the first time from any of the Hotlink iChannels will receive 50% extra credit for their first top-up of the month through a period of six months. Concurrently, for all customers topping up through these channels regardless of whether they have done so before, three customers with the highest top-up every week will each be awarded a unit of the highly coveted BlackBerry Bold 9780.
In addition, every 200th person to top up credit on Maxis Mobile2Top-Up using their Visa card each week will take home an exciting Samsung Galaxy S.
