Launch of MAMEE DyDo Cool Tea
[dropcap]C[/dropcap]onstant engagement with consumers to understand their needs drives both DyDo and MAMEE to continuously innovate. Through this collaboration, MAMEE DyDo’s first innovation, MAMEE DyDo Cool Tea, was officially launched at the JV announcement event. MAMEE DyDo Cool Tea is a herbal drink to help keep your body naturally cool from the hot weather and spicy food.
Malaysia is a beautiful tropical country and it is usually very hot and humid. Malaysia is a hub of different cultures, each of which has brought in different flavours to create distinct and vibrant cuisines. Although the weather is usually hot, Malaysian food is mostly hot, spicy, fried or barbecued. Everything in Malaysia revolves around great food. Pleasant social get-togethers are always combined with having a nice meal and Malaysians can be found eating at any time of the day.
MAMEE DyDo understands the obsession of Malaysians over food and that they raise excess heat in one’s body. This is why MAMEE DyDo through this collaboration, spearheaded the production of MAMEE DyDo Cool Tea by combining 8 natural herbal extracts derived from Mesona Chinesis, Liquorice Root, Lotus Leaf, Honeysuckle Flower, Chrysanthemum Flower, Mulberry Leaf, Selfheal and Grosvenor Momordica that are traditionally known to help release body heat.
Herbal tea has been known for their remarkable benefits due to the natural ingredients since ancient days. Many commonly use herbs in drinks and food to speed up circulation and drive heat out of the body. Herbs also help release heat from body by warming the body so that the pores open up and the body cools down through perspiration. Another great benefit of herbal teas is that they help keep the body hydrated. When the body is heaty, it loses water more rapidly and it’s very important to replace this water loss in the correct way. With MAMEE DyDo Cool Tea, consumers no longer have to worry about making own herbal tea through the complex processes of boiling for hours, sweetening and filtering.
Consumers will also be able to look forward to game changing beverage categories with the introduction of more innovative beverages as well as functional beverages from MAMEE DyDo as early as next year.

MAMEE DyDo has plans to introduce cutting edge vending machine in an effort to ensure convenience and efficient product availability. With varied work hours and the erratic meal times, vending machines will prove to be a viable convenience at work places, office blocks, educational institutions, public transportation hubs and many other suitable locations. By providing greater variety in F&B options in the vending machines, MAMEE DyDo will set itself apart from other vending machine operators. Plans are also in the pipeline to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant to produce and introduce more functional and nutritional products.
“We see strong potential in growing the Ready-To-Drink beverage category in Malaysia and we will be able to leverage on the advanced beverage manufacturing technology and the well-established R&D facility which DyDo can offer. Besides that, expanding on our beverage business will help complement our current snacks and noodles business,” said Pierre Pang, CEO of MDD Beverage at the media launch of MAMEE DyDo Cool Tea.
