The Urban Retreat weekend-filled wellness, dance and music festival returns for the second year running. Staying true to their essence MURFEST 2015 is happening at a brand new “urban” location, the Pullman Hotel Kuala Lumpur Bangsar.
The Malaysia Urban Retreat Festival 2015, which will take place from November 13th to 15th November 2015, will showcase a gathering of well-renowned names and brands in the wellness and health industry. Murfest 2015 is well on its way to becoming Malaysia’s largest wellness, music and dance festival.

An experience like none other, participants can expect to be wow-ed by a “rockstar line-up”. Some of the top names are Simon Borg Oliver, Melissa Smith, Kosta Miachin, and MURFEST’s very own ambassador Atilia Haron. Besides having a buffet of classes and workshops offered at the Festival participants can also immerse themselves with inspiring speakers, music as well as dance workshops.
MURFEST is pegged to be the Top 5 Wellness Festivals in South East Asia, mapping Malaysia on a global platform as a regional wellness and retreat destination. “The main aim of MURFEST is to educate the young and invigorate the souls of our seniors to embrace a wellness or fitness practice that they can adapt into their lifestyles. We are not reinventing the wheel here, says Festival Founder & Director Shobie Malani. Most people have been exposed to at least one of these workshops. What we are doing is bringing communities together to gain knowledge, to change mindsets, to cultivate a mindful and healthy society.”
Participants are going to be spoilt for choices at this three-day festival with over 80 classes to choose from the different categories – yoga, aqua yoga, zumba, capoeira, motivational speakers, sound healers and many more. No festival is complete without a market place, the newly launched JUST BE Markets is a niche place where communities get to connect and network with wellness experts while sipping organic coffee, speak to natural healers and checking out semi-precious healing jewels, get pampered with an Ayurvedic massage, sample essential oils, explore raw food delicacies, and connect with artisans from all walks of life and cool off with a cold pressed organic juice.
Our signature URBANITE concert will be happening as well at the Pullman Hotel on the 13th November 2015, bringing you international & local bands in genres like reggae, soul, world music, fusion and percussionist.
