Lea Michele has been announced as the new face of L’Oreal cosmetics.
Lea Michele has been chosen as the new face of makeup brand L’Oréal Paris!
“I’m overjoyed and beyond honored to be a part of the L’Oréal Paris family,” the 26-year-old actress told People in a statement. “I’m such a fan of L’Oréal Paris not just for all of their amazing products, but for what they stand for. I’m so thankful to be a part of a television show that promotes inner beauty and self-worth. Now to be a part of this amazing family that expresses the same amazing message is such an honor.”
Speculation had been mounting over the Glee star landing the impressive contract that will see her follow in the flawless footsteps of fellow beauties Cheryl Cole, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria.

And now the French beauty giants have officially unveiled the star as their new brand ambassador. Speaking about her latest role the actress said: ‘Growing up on stage, I was introduced to make-up at a young age and I will never forget the first time I tried on a L’Oréal Paris iconic lipstick – it was instant glamour and I’ve been hooked ever since!’
Lea’s admiration for the brand didn’t stop there, she added: ‘I’ve been a fan of L’Oréal Paris’ products for years, but it wasn’t until I was a bit older that I fully understood the brand’s message of a woman’s worth, which I wholeheartedly agree with.
‘L’Oréal Paris encourages women to embrace their beauty and celebrate their self-worth. I feel very honored to be working with L’Oreal Paris to help spread that message to young women.’
Her feelings are reciprocated by Cyril Chapuy, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President who sung the star’s praises saying: ‘Lea is fun, committed, genuine, with an inspiring sense of style, in total resonance with the brand’s values.’
Karen T. Fondu, President of L’Oréal Paris USA also forms part of the Lea fan club dubbing the actress a ‘beautiful woman inside and out’ who is ‘one of the most gifted and accomplished women of her generation’. And the icing on the cake comes with Karen adding: ‘Lea truly exemplifies our brand philosophy “Because You’re Worth It.”‘
High praise indeed.
This news cements the brunette beauty as one of the main power players in the beauty world, although not everyone always thought that way.
The star recently told Allure magazine how her looks didn’t always please everyone, saying: ‘When I was 15… a manager said, ‘You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you.” My mother would say to me, “Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.”’
Lea Michele will debut in her first TV and print advertising campaign in the US early next year.
