Tokyo’s iconic pop singer/fashion model and MTV Video Music Awards Japan (VMAJ) multi-awards’ winner Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has been selected to be MTV’s Asia Exclusive Artist, as the J-Pop artist offers her video clips to be exclusively featured on MTV outside of Japan. Two video clips from her gig at Seattle in the latest “KPP Nanda Collection World Tour 2014”, including performances of her smash-hits “Fashion Monster” and “Yume no Hajima Ring Ring,” will be exclusively available on MTV’s website at www.mtvasia.com/kyarypamyupamyu from Monday, 14 July.
Along with digital initiatives, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will be also heavily promoted across MTV Asia’s TV platform with her newest music video for “Kira Kira Killer” which will be aired during the Japan Hits: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu special that premieres on Friday, 11 July at 5.30pm (WIB), 6.30pm (SG/HK) and 7.30pm (MAL). In addition, the weekly music show My MTV scheduled on Friday, 18 July at 5.30pm (WIB), 6.30pm (SG/HK) and 7.30pm (MAL) will feature a special interview with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu taped in June during her Singapore tour.

About Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
Born in Tokyo 1993, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (full name Caroline Charonplop Kyarypamyupamyu) is an icon of Harajuku culture in Tokyo. She started her career as a model for Harajuku fashion magazines when she was still in a high school. With her unique looks and her quirky blog, Kyary quickly rose to fame with both the masses and the media.
In August 2011 right after her graduation, Kyary released her major debut mini album, “MOSHI MOSHI HARAJUKU,” which was released by Warner Music Japan and produced by Yasutaka Nakata (CAPSULE). The mini album was distributed on the internet in 23 countries worldwide, and the music video for her lead single “PONPONPON” has been played over 67 million times on YouTube. In May 2012, she released her first full length album “Pamyu Pamyu Revolution”, which debuted at No.2 on Japan’s national weekly charts and sold over 230K copies so far. Later that year she went on her first nationwide tour and successfully performed at Budokan.
Her first world tour in 2013 was a great success, with performances in France, Belgium, UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Los Angeles and New York in the U.S. Her long-awaited second album “Nanda Collection” was released on June 26 later that year and debuted at No.1 on Japan’s national weekly charts and sold over 400K copies.
Kyary traveled on her “KPP NANDA COLLECTION WORLD TOUR 2014” from February to June 2014. All of her U.S. (5 cities), Sydney, Paris, Cologne, and London shows were sold out. She has released her third album “Pika Pika Fantajin” on July 9, 2014.
