In the latest episode of Korea’s most popular variety show, Infinite Challenge has named Hwang Kwanghee its sixth cast member. The pop star grabbed the chance to be a member of the exclusive gang after a gruelling series of tests and eliminations. Malaysia viewers can catch Infinite Challenge exclusively on Oh!K (Astro Channel 394) every Saturday at 8pm.
In the latest episode, the remaining six contestants – Kwanghee (from the K-pop group ZE:A), Siwon (Super Junior), Hong Jin Kyung, Kang Kyun Sung (Noel) and Jang Dong Min were each paired with an existing Infinite Challenge member to present a potential idea for a future episode of the show.
Kwanghee joins the cast of Korea’s most popular variety show
With his idea of turning “fashion terrorists” into fashionistas, Kwanghee received three out of five votes from the famous five and won the coveted job.
Infinite Challenge’s producer, Kim Tae Ho recently explained that the “Sixth Man” project was required to alleviate the pressure on the other five members on the MBC show.
Kwanghee joins the show cast as Infinite Challenge celebrates its 10th anniversary and will now perform alongside Yoo Jae Suk, HaHa, Park Myung Soo, Jung Hyung Don and Jung Joon Ha. The position vacancy resulted after No Hong-chul left the show at the end of last year.

Hwang Kwanghee is a member of ZE:A, a nine-member K-pop group managed by Star Empire Entertainment. With his outgoing personality, Kwanghee has also performed well in a host of variety shows. In 2012, he was awarded with the Best Newcomer award in the variety show category at the 12th MBC Entertainment Awards.
