IMPIANA KLCC HOTEL INITIATES GO GREEN EFFORT
Kuala Lumpur – In effort to preserve the earth and ensure a better future for the next generation, Impiana KLCC Hotel have invited the Green Man, Mr. Matthias Gelber to explain to the hotel management of on how to implement green initiative and why it is important.
Matthias Gelber is a professional speaker, trainer and businessman. He was awarded as the Greenest Person on the Planet by 3rd Whale in Canada. Matthias has a passion that is focused on environmental management and CSR for the last 17 years in around 40 countries around the world. The hotel has begun the initial stage by inviting him over to the hotel recently to give an hour of brief presentation on how the hotel industry could execute green motives or way of operation but still make profit. The short presentation was attended by the middle to upper level management where it is necessary for this execution to be understood fully before it is implemented.
In line with the requirements of the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, hotels in Malaysia now has to apply a green hotel approach where it is environmentally friendly and adopts energy conservation measures. The hotel is now starting to put into operation this initiative by trying to conserve energy and water. The air conditioning system in the hotel is no longer run by a compressor that uses a lot of energy but instead it is used by chilled water and is dispersed into the air conditioning system
