Synopsis:

The Philippines, January 28, 1945. Deadly Reckoning, 3 August @ 9pm
In 1975 there is one last battle to fight in the Vietnam War. When an American merchant ship is seized by Cambodian pirates, U.S. Marines fresh out of boot camp are sent to rescue the hostages. Due to faulty intelligence, the Marines land in a kill-zone where they must stand and fight together or lose everything. This is the inspiring story of the men who made it, and the men who did not – the last 41 names engraved on the wall of the Vietnam Veteran s Memorial.
Jungle Ambush, 10 August @ 9pm
Vietnam, August 23, 1968: Sergeant Pat Watkins, was a member of SOG, a special unit of the Green Berets. During a classified mission in Da Nang, three Vietcong companies attack a SOG outpost; vastly outnumbered the SOG team miraculously repels the invasion, but not without the loss of 17 Special Forces soldiers, the most ever killed in a single incident. Many more might have died if not for the heroic efforts of Watkins and the others.
Shadow Warriors, 17 August @ 9pm
It’s 1981 and the Soviet Union has invaded Afghanistan. President Reagan sends in a small, potent team of undercover CIA officers to train Afghan rebels. Working in dark alleys and traveling on Pakistani military helicopters, Milt Bearden and his team must stay alive and gradually build a network to challenge the Soviets. Aided by a devastating new weapon, America s Shadow Warriors fight the Cold War s last battle even as a greater threat lurks in the background.
The White Tigers, 24 August @ 9pm
North Korea 1951: They were unknown soldiers fighting unknown battles in a forgotten war. Their covert missions annihilated communist forces. For the first time, the details of this top secret army code named “8240” have been declassified. Four Army Rangers and 20 South Koreans accept a classified mission to destroy rail lines far behind enemy lines. At the very start, the mission goes bad. Brutally cold temperatures and poor planning force them to scrap the mission but not without casualties and a daring helicopter rescue under heavy fire. There are also victories by battalions called The White Tigers known for their ferocious fighting. Their intrepid raid demolished a top Communist fortress. History never fully honored the bravery of these soldiers who paved the way for US special forces today…that is until now.
Prison Siege, 31 August @ 9pm
February 2004, Haiti. Total disorder rules the country. In Port au Prince, a team of security agents head to their safe house from the Ambassador’s residence while sporadic gunfire could be heard in every direction. Diplomatic Security Service Special Agent Christopher Belmonti braves a barrage of bullets to save a woman they find on the side of the road with her hands tied behind her back–just another day in the life of a DS Agent from the security arm of the US State Department. We also follow the exploits of Special Agent Alston A. Richardson of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, as he risks his life to provide protection for the newly sworn-in President of Haiti, Boniface Alexandre. These are just two of the action-packed stories that we follow as we relive dramatic moments in the lives of modern heroes caught in the middle of a country gripped by chaos and violence.
