Grand Final of “ Dance For Your Dream” @ Times Square -17/10/10
A TOTAL of 15 finalists, some who came from as far as Johor Bahru had only one thing in common – to dance their way to Hong Kong to study dancing under renowned choreographer, Sunny Wong; and a grand prize worth RM100,000.
The winner, a petite-looking dancer from Butterworth, Low Cheng Shing a.k.a. Lucky Star couldn’t believe her luck, when she was announced as the top winner. She was appeared to be stunned, when her name was announced, and it wasn’t until the other finalists started to cheer on her that she could believe her luck.
Low, who beat the other 14 finalists, clearly stood out from the others with her energetic and funky moves. Her outward personality and skills quickly became the crowd favourite and won the hearts of the judges and audiences.
Earlier on, Lucky Star won herself a brand new laptop by MSI for having the highest vote from the audiences, who attended the grand finals yesterday.
For Lucky Star and Aric Ho, the journey has just begun. Updates and news on their dancing progress in Hong Kong will be posted and updated daily on Facebook. Upon graduating from Hong Kong, the duo will be headed for a grand dance performance with the other 14 finalists.
Held at the main entrance of Berjaya Times Square yesterday, the grand finals of Dance of Your Dream attracted hundred of application from aspiring dancers, but only 15 were chosen for a chance to show their talents. The prize offered by Hai Yun Production (M) Sdn Bhd included free accommodation, tuition fees and airfare.
