Everyone would definitely remember these beauties. The only question is: Did you eat the icing or the biscuit first?Â
2) Haw Flakes

What are Haw Flakes actually made of? We used to think it was the name of the brand. Turns out, haw flakes are actually made from the fruit of the Chinese hawthorn tree.Â
3) Wu Hua Guo (more commonly known as asam)

These sweet and sour snacks were the optimal pick me ups for a day when you needed it. Students would often sneak a few when the teacher wasn’t looking; as you well know eating in class is prohibited in Malaysia!
4) Fish Murukku

These fish murukkus are a combination of great taste and amazing crunch. The best part? They were always so cheap at 10 cents a packet making it the ideal snack!Â
5) Ice Cream Potong

Last, but definitely not least is the incredible ice cream potong. Though they might be considered a traditional dessert, these ice lollies still holds its own against the conventional ice cream.
It goes without saying that the ’80s were definitely one of the best times to live in and we would definitely go back to those simpler times if we could. Since that’s not possible, we can still relive the era through our favourite Netflix series, which is why we’re so excited to return to Hawkins for the Summer of ’85. Catch Stranger Things 3 on Netflix this July 4th. Check out the latest trailer here for a sneak peek of what’s coming.
About Stranger Things 3
It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.
