Exclusive Interview With Zoe Saldana New Spokesmodel For L’Oreal Paris
What does it mean for you to be a L’Oréal Paris Spokesperson?
L’Oréal Paris, as the number one beauty brand in the world, stands as a true leader, trendsetter, and its influence is felt throughout. I’m thrilled to be a part of its ambition to touch the lives of others, to influence them, to make a difference cosmetically and socially, through its philanthropic endeavours.
What does the tagline “Because I’m Worth it” mean to you?
Women need to be reassured that they are as important as their male counterparts and we need to know we make a difference each and every day. I care about me. I love myself. We need to learn how to value ourselves.
What gives you confidence?
Strong role models, right choices and decisions, and knowing that each day is another day to leave a positive mark on society. Those give me the confidence I need to be me.
Can you testify of a moment in your life where Beauty (the use of Beauty products) gave you the confidence to achieve a project or overcome obstacles?
Beauty comes from within and believing in yourself and cosmetics enhances that beauty. Each time I am to appear on the red carpet, knowing I look good helps me achieve that goal of smiling for the cameras and meeting with my fans. Even just applying the right lipstick for a meeting with a Producer can make the difference in me getting the part.
