Kuala Lumpur, 8 April 2013 – DuPont Malaysia Sdn Bhd (DuPont Malaysia) recently feted more than 200 partners and growers to an extraordinary and entertaining dinner held at the Equatorial Hotel Cameron Highlands.
Held in conjunction with the launch of the DuPont™ Benevia® insect control, the event was also a celebration to mark and recognize the hard work and excellent achievements of its partners and growers for 2012. Gracing the event was Mr. Ong Ewe Hock, Managing Director of DuPont Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Mr. Peter Ford, Asia Pacific Crop Protection Marketing Director and Mr. Sanjay Wadhwa, ASEAN Business Director, DuPont Crop Protection.

As we rise to the challenge of feeding a growing population, we will do our best to provide agriculturist and growers with the essential crop protection tools to accomplish this noble objective.”
During the dinner, DuPont Malaysia also unveiled its latest crop protection product, the DuPont™ Benevia® – turns customers into regulars with healthier crops. Formulated with the Cyazypyr® crop protection ingredient, DuPont™ Benevia® is a unique cross-spectrum pest control product which protects a wide range of crops including tomato, chili, beans, cucumber and eggplant, from pests. DuPont™ Benevia® and other future brands powered by DuPont™ Cyazypyr® come from the same class of chemistry as the DuPont™ Rynaxypyr®, a blockbuster insect control product which has been assisting growers worldwide to deal with difficult pests since it was introduced in 2008.

Throughout the night, the audiences were enthralled with stellar performances from renowned sand artist, Loong Bee, with his amazing sand art routine, and local singer Yise Loo who serenaded the guests with popular songs.

The audience applauded loudly when Jason Nguyen, Business Manager Crop Protection of DuPont Malaysia took the occasion to present a RM 10,000 cheque to the Cameron Highlands Vegetable Growers Association as part of DuPont’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. The fund will go towards supporting the underprivileged students in Cameron Highlands.
On the following day, Mr. Peter Ford, DuPont Asia Pacific Marketing Director and Mr. Sanjay Wadhwa, ASEAN Business Director, DuPont Crop Protection along with the growers and partners who attended the dinner also attended a tomatoes farm tour in Cameron Highlands where they witnessed the crop protection value demonstrated by DuPont™ Benevia® – turns customers into regulars with healthier crops.
