Dream Cruises, Asia’s luxury cruise line, continues to rack up the recognitions with Genting Dream receiving a Star Performer Top Ten rating in the Large Resort category of the highly-revered Berlitz Cruising and Cruise Guide 2018, now in its thirty-third year of continuous printing. In the rankings, based on ratings awarded by Douglas Ward, the Guide’s eminent expert author, Genting Dream was placed sixth in the Large Resort category, earning 1585 out of a possible 2000 points.
Dream Cruises Racks Up the Recognitions
Meticulously updated every year by cruise expert Douglas Ward, the Berlitz Cruising and Cruise Guide 2018 contains unbiased reviews and fascinating detail of almost 300 ocean-going cruise vessels, and grades them on service, food, entertainment and facilities, using an internationally recognised ratings system.
This latest acknowledgment comes on the heels of two earlier honours for Dream Cruises at the Travel Weekly Asia Reader’s Choice Awards 2017 where Genting Dream was voted as the ‘Best New Ship’ and Dream Cruises rising to the top in the ‘Best Cruise Line – Entertainment’ category.

World Dream will carry on the tradition of excellence forged by her sister ship with brand new family fun experiences and facilities that bring together the coolest new 3D and laser technologies and the hottest entertainment and amusement showcase at sea.
Taking center stage is World Dream’s breathtakingly beautiful new signature show “Sonio”, a picturesque production inspired by the dawn of a new dream which will transform the Zodiac Theatre into a wonderland of music and magic with delightful choreography and daring acts set against a backdrop rich in enthralling 3D visuals.
World Dream will also enhance the brand’s signature “Dream Night” with Asia’s first ever laser and fireworks display at sea. Serving as the grand finale to each 5-night cruise experience, this visual spectacle combines dazzling laser artistry with the pyrotechnic flair of a fireworks display all perfectly synchronized to a soundscape of live music.
For the young and the young at heart, World Dream has also created Esc Experience Lab, a virtual reality game zone at sea with stunning simulators and interactive games that will provide guests with immersive experiences ranging from Formula 1 auto racing to inter-galactic adventures in Star Wars Battle Pods.
Shopaholics can also rejoice as luxury and duty-free retail have been redefined on board World Dream. Guests can enjoy a privileged shopping experience at some of the most exclusive luxury outlets on board a cruise ship, including Asia’s first Tiffany & Co. and the first-ever Dior jewellery and watches boutiques at sea. In addition, with the introduction of new, innovative and engaging features, such as an interactive Scents & Spirits experience wall and MAKE UP BAR, shopping has been reinvented as a personalized journey of self-discovery and inspiration.
World Dream is scheduled to begin her dual-homeport deployment from Hong Kong and Guangzhou (Nansha) in mid-November, with alternating weekly 5-night itineraries to Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as 2-night weekend itineraries in the South China Seas.
