Dua anak gadis Dr. Walter Stratford (Larry Miller) iaitu Kat (Lindsey Shaw) dan Bianca (Meaghan Jette Martin) yang baru berpindah dari Ohio ke California cuba untuk menyesuaikan diri di sekolah baru mereka, Padua High. Keduanya mempunyai personaliti dan matlamat hidup yang sangat berbeza.
Sebaik sahaja memulakan persekolahan di Padua High, nama dua anak gadis Dr. Stratford meningkat popular.
Kat adalah seorang yang bijak, keras kepala, berterus-terang dan sentiasa ingin menyelamatkan keadaan serta mahu keluar dari sekolah tersebut secepat mungkin. Namun sikap degil Kat mula luntur apabila dia berkenalan dengan rakan Patrick Verona (Ethan Peck) yang terkenal dengan sifat nakal.
Sebaliknya, Bianca si gadis yang gemar bersosial hanya mahukan populariti. Bianca perlu berhadapan dan menyesuaikan diri dengan kumpulan pelajar popular manakala ayah mereka pula bersikap terlalu mengongkong. Bianca sanggup mencuba dan menggunakan apa sahaja untuk menjadi ahli pasukan sorak sekolah dan ingin menjadi popular.
Bianca juga sanggup menggoda teman lelaki kepada gadis paling popular di sekolah lakonan Dana Davis sehinggakan keadaan menjadi lebih tegang.

Lindsey Marie Shaw, born May 10, 1989 is an American actress known most commonly for her television role as Kat Stratford on 10 Things I Hate About You as well as her previous roles as Jennifer “Moze” Mosely on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Claire Tolchuck on Aliens in America, and Shaw co-starred as Moze on the Nickelodeon show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, which debuted in 2004 and ended in 2007 after 3 seasons.
Months after Ned’s Declassified ended Shaw’s new series Aliens in America debuted where Shaw played the character Claire. Shaw stared as Kat Stratford in ABC Family’s 10 Things I Hate About You, alongside Meaghan Jette Martin who played Kat’s younger sister Bianca. She also briefly appeared in Nickelback’s “Rockstar” music video.
Shaw was also the 2010 Azeala Queen at the Azeala parade in Wilmington.
Meaghan Jette Martin born February 17, 1992 is an American actress and singer who now plays Bianca Stratford in 10 Things I Hate About You and is also known for her roles as Tess Tyler in the Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2.
Martin who started modeling at age five Martin also appeared in several community theater productions in Las Vegas such as Peter Pan and performed for her Showteam and later made her professional theater debut in a Los Angeles production of 13. She appeared in several television commercials such as those for Cabbage Patch Kids and Barbie.
Martin made her television debut in 2006, with the television pilot Cooking Rocks! It was followed by roles in programs such as Nickelodeon’s Just Jordan and CBS’s Close to Home, as well as a guest stint in the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Martin was selected by TV Guide in 2008 as one of the “13 Hottest Young Stars to Watch”.The multitalented beauty was also the online host for the 2008 Disney Channel Games.
She also had the role of Megan Kennedy in the independent film Dear Lemon Lima.
Martin was also nominated for the 2010 Young Artist Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role (Comedy or Drama) for 10 Things I Hate About You.
Lawrence J. “Larry” Miller who plays Dr. Walter Stratford father to Kat and Bianca Stratford, is a Jewish-American actor, voice artist, comedian, and columnist who was born on October 15, 1953 in Valley Stream, New York, and attended Amherst College. His roles include the vindictive doorman on Seinfeld, as well as several characters in Christopher Guest’s mockumentary movies. He has also appeared in Carry On Columbus, The Nutty Professor, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, Max Keeble’s Big Move, and Pretty Woman.He also played Edwin Poole in the ABC dramedy Boston Legal.
Additionally, he was the writer for the television shows Uncommon Sense (2005), Just Words (2001), and Pros & Cons (1999).

Ethan Gregory Peck is an American actor, born on March 2, 1986. He is best known for his work in the ABC Family network television series 10 Things I Hate About You, where he portrayed Patrick Verona.
Ethan Peck has had many guest star television appearances as a young actor, including the role of a younger Michael Kelso in 2 episodes of That ’70s Show. In his first film role, he co-starred in the cable film Marshal Law playing Jimmy Smits’ son. He has also appeared in the 1999 movie Passport to Paris that starred Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
In 2008, Peck starred opposite Adam Rothenberg and Mariah Carey in the film Tennessee, that was followed by him co-starring in role opposite Peter Coyote and Bebe Neuwirth in Adopt a Sailor. At the 2009 Sonoma International Film Festival , Peck received the Best Actor award for his portrayal of “Sailor”.
Nicholas Joseph Braun born May 1, 1988 is an American actor. Playing the role of Cameron James on the 10 Things I Hate About You, he is perhaps most famous for his role in the film Sky High as Zachary “Zach” Braun (a.k.a. Zach Attack).He also had a role as Zeke Thompson in Minutemen, a Disney Channel Original Movie.
Braun appeared in an Original Disney Channel movie, Princess Protection Program, where he portrayed Edwin or “Ed” next to Selena Gomez’s character, Carter.
In 2001, he appeared in “Walter & Henry”, a father-son drama that ensemble a start studded cast featuring John Larroquette, Kate Neligan, Dorian Harewood, and James Coburn.
He also appeared in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and also protrays the character Cole Waters on the online webseries The LXD.
Dana Davis born October 4, 1984, is an American actress most notable for playing Chastity Church on 10 Things I Hate About You. She also plays Felicia Jones on the series The Nine and Monica Dawson on the series Heroes.
Davis was born in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa and attended Davenport North High School at the same city. She is a skilled violinist and attended Loyola Marymount University, graduating with a degree in music in 2001. Davis appeared alongside teen actress Hilary Duff in Raise Your Voice and has also appeared in Veronica Mars, That’s So Raven, The O.C., Gilmore Girls, Point Pleasant, Pushing Daisies, and Hidden Palms.
Davis also played the role of Peyton in the hit movie, Coach Carter (2005), alongside singer cum actress Ashanti, as well as Lisa Hines in Prom Night (2008).
