CROTCHETS AND CLOTH: WHEN FASHION MEETS A MUSICAL FOR THE SECRET LIFE OF NORA
After the very successful STYLO Fashion Grand Prix KL 2011, STYLO International returns once again to elevate fashiontainment to greater heights.
This time, STYLO International with its 2011 STYLO FGP theme “Fashion Theatre” is set forth for the bigger stage – a musical.
STYLO has joined forces with Enfiniti Vision Media, the critically-acclaimed company that produced the award-winning Puteri Gunung Ledang and P.Ramlee the Musical; to design, style, direct and produce the costumes under its band of designers for the upcoming most anticipated musical The Secret Life of Nora, starring lead star Tiara Jacquelina.
A series of fashion designers, stylists have been selected to be part of this, which amongst them include the 12 finalists of the Mercedes-Benz STYLO Emerging Designers Competition 2011 and established designers.
This signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cum press conference will see the announcement of this partnership between the two giants in the fashion and entertainment industry, an insight into the fashion direction and costumes of the cast and lead star Tiara Jacquelina.
‘The Secret Life of Nora’ will prove to be one of the most successful musicals where fashion and theatre infuse into each other and burst alive on stage.
Set in a fantastical version of the 1960s, this is a story about a Malaysian prima donna, Nora, who unknowingly becomes a spy and saves the lives of thousands of women. Along a way she finds her true self, and even manages to fall in love with Roger, the International secret agent who is tasked with transforming Nora from drama queen to spy.
