About Cris Cab
Born to Cuban parents in Miami, Florida, Cris’ relationship with music started at the age of ten when he pleaded with his parents to buy him a guitar. Cris quickly developed a passion for reggae music, listening to the likes of Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff, inspiring many of his later compositions. At 14 years old, his father bought him his first studio session and it was not long before he found himself in front of his soon to be mentor; Pharrell Williams.
In 2011 he developed a cult following online, and soon caught the attention of Perez Hilton and Billboard. His 2011 cover of Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Black and Yellow’ amassed 100,000 views in its first week, resulting in the instant success of his first EP ‘Foreword’. Debut single ‘Good Girls’ subsequently grabbed the attention of producer Wyclef Jean, who has since been featured on Cris’ 2012 mix-tape ‘Echo Boom’.
Signed to Island Def Jam, his current single ‘Liar Liar’ is available on iTunes now.
