CELCOM REWARDS ITS 100,000TH BLACKBERRY CUSTOMER

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 OCTOBER 2010 – Celcom Axiata Berhad [formerly known as Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad], the most experienced and premier leading mobile telecommunications service provider in the country, celebrated its 100,000th active BlackBerry customer, Lim Bay Sie from Ipoh, Perak at a simple ceremony at Menara Celcom on Wednesday.
Celcom’s Chief Marketing Officer, Chee Pok Jin and Celcom’s Vice President of Product Marketing – Mobile Broadband, Harcharan Singh presented to the 24-year-old with one unit of BlackBerry Bold 9700 and other BlackBerry accessories worth more than RM2,000 during the ceremony.
“I still could not believe my good luck as I only started using Xpax about four months ago and subscribes to the Xpax BlackBerry Advance plan daily. I like the fact that it provides me with instant connectivity to my friends and families through BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) and emails. I got to know about Xpax packages from my younger sister and it is definitely more economical and affordable compared with others in the market plus its wide coverage is also stable. This is really unexpected and I would like to thank Celcom for now I have a brand new BlackBerry Bold 9700,” exclaimed Lim.
