In conjunction with the fourth season of America the Wild premiering on the 16th Of March on Nat Geo Wild (Astro Channel 550), FOX International Channels treated Malaysians to a surprise by bringing the main man behind the series itself, Casey Anderson to Sunway Lagoon Wildlife Park.
The audience was in awe when Casey made a grand entrance with a majestic looking Albino Burmese Python wrapped on his arm. The audience also saw him interact with several other critters of the wild, such as the Slow Loris, the Small Toothed Palm Civet, the Blue & Gold Macaw, the Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, the Ball Python and the Blue Tongued Skink. The press conference also revealed insights into the show and what viewers ought to expect for this new, wild and captivating season.
“Malaysia is so blessed to be home to a variety of animals and it’s such an amazing experience for me to interact with them.”
In expressing his excitement, Casey was quick to highlight that wild animals should be treated with caution.
“It’s advisable for one to be safe around them. They are wild!” he said with a smile.
Avid fans of Casey were delighted when they were given the opportunity take photos and autographs of him during the meet and greet session. An exclusive wildlife tour given by Casey was also offered to the media and members of the public. The tour enlightened and educated spectators about the various species of existing wildlife in Malaysia, some of which were the Sun Bear, the Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo and the Albino Burmese Python.
Two lucky winners Low Peng Hoong & Mahes Arvin A/L Prmananth also won a once in lifetime opportunity to explore the lush green forests of Borneo with Casey himself. The contest was a joint collaboration between Astro Circle and Nat Geo Wild to reward their loyal customers.
