AirAsia Berhad celebrated the inaugural flight of its sixth unique route launched this year, which is from Kuala Lumpur – Changsha; further strengthening AirAsia’s position as the largest international carrier by capacity to fly into China.
As part of the celebration of this newly commenced route, AirAsia is offering a promotional all-in-fare to this scenic UNESCO World Heritage city where the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar was filmed, from RM209* one way for the booking period from 2nd – 18th October 2015. The travel period for this promotional fare will be from 7th October 2015 – 29th February 2016.

Besides AirAsia Berhad (airline code AK), the group’s affiliate Thai AirAsia (airline code FD) offers daily direct flights from Bangkok to Changsha as well. As a group, AirAsia flies to 15 destinations in China with a total of 35 routes.
Changsha is the capital of Hunan Province, and is one of China’s mostly rapidly modernising cities. It is the birthplace of Mao Zedong, one of China’s most revered political figures. Infused with nature, history and scenic geographical terrains, visitors are able to experience the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wu Ling Yuan (Zhangjiajie) where the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar was filmed.
Tourists may enjoy various kinds of adventure activities including hiking, cycling, boating, mountaineering, parasailing, rock climbing, camping at this UNESCO Heritage Site.
