CELCOM REWARDS GRAND PRIZE OF RM10,000 TO LUCKY MEDIA WINNER!
– Media members enjoyed exciting activities and lucky draw prizes at Celcom’s 2010 Media Nite and “BLUE VS THE REST” campaign launch-
Celcom Axiata Berhad [formerly known as Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad] rewarded a whopping RM10,000 grand prize to Rosmalina bte Abdul Kadir, a Feature Writer from KOSMO! who took part in the lucky draw segment of Celcom’s 2010 Media Nite event last Friday, 14 May 2010 at Rain Club, Sri Hartamas.
Attendees of the Media Nite included the likes of several media leaders such as Media Prima’s Chairman, Datuk Johan Jaaffar, Malay Mail’s Editor-in-Chief, Dato’ Ahirudin Attan, Media Prima’s Chief Marketing Officer of Television Networks and Clients Services, Shareen Ooi, The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad’s Managing Editor, Nuraina A. Samad, The Star’s Executive Editor, Wong Sai Wan, and Oriental Daily News’ Deputy Editor-in Chief, Ding Lee Leong to name a few.
“The idea of the grand lucky draw prize of RM10,000 cash was derived from the “Collect a Celcom Blue Bear” programme, which is part of our brand new “BLUE VS THE REST” campaign. As a gesture of our appreciation and thanks, we wanted to share this exciting initiative firsthand with our media friends,” commented Adlan Ahmad Tajudin, Chief Corporate Office of Celcom Axiata Berhad.
Hosted by Fly FM’s deejay Hafiz Hatim, the event was spiced up with entertaining performances from local band Take 5, and guests were treated to sumptuous food and exciting football-related games and trivia throughout the fun-filled evening. The night was closed with a bang with a special “DJ Battle” performance by two international Indonesian DJ acts; DJ Arien Catherine from Bandung, and DJ Andiez from Jakarta.
The theme for the night was “football frenzy”, and over 420 media members flooded the venue decked out in the official colours of their favourite football team. Apart from the RM10,000 grand prize, fourteen other lucky media winners went home with lucrative prizes such as BlackBerry devices and football paraphernalia. A door gift of miniature Celcom Blue teddy bears were also given to all guests.
The launch of Celcom’s “BLUE VS THE REST” campaign was marked by the marching of the eight Celcom Blue Bears into Rain Club, and Media Night guests were given the chance to dance along to an exciting tune with the eight bears.
The “Collect a Celcom Blue Bear” programme started yesterday on 17 May 2010, with the introduction of the first pair of Celcom Blue Bears (Bearyfrance and Englbear). This will be followed by Beartugal (from 31 May), Esbearanyol (from 7 June), Bearmany (from 14 June), Beargentina (from 21 June), Bearitalia (from 28 June) and end with Bearzil (from 5 July).
The campaign will end on 11 July 2010, where both football enthusiasts and cute teddy bear fans will get the chance to own a set of eight limited edition Celcom Blue Bears in football jerseys. Eligible customers will not only get the limited edition Celcom Blue Bears sets but at the same time, will also be in the running for a daily cash prize of RM10,000.
