Spotify Reveals What The World Is Listening To On Chinese New Year

Spotify, the world’s most popular streaming service, today unveiled the top ten songs that appear most frequently across Chinese New Year-playlists all over the world. Topping the list are well-loved renditions of festive classics such as “大地回春”, “恭喜恭喜”, and “財神到”.

Spotify’s in-house Asian music experts have also launched exclusive curated playlists to usher in Chinese New Year, including a playlist celebrating artists born in the Year of the Monkey.

The playlist features a host of Asian artists such as Hyuna and Ming Bridges, as well as international chart-toppers Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith. Artists born in this zodiac year are said to be clever, talented and sometimes cheeky.
