Wah, rezeki Amy Mastura nampaknya semakin murah. Budiey pun tak sangka, walaupun Amy Mastura ni dah kira orang lama dalam industri, dan jarang nak jumpa di mana-mana event, orang kata dah tahap nak sampai ke peringkat ‘otai’, tapi tengoklah, beliau kini dilantik menjadi duta kepada produk penjagaan kebersihan, Lifebuoy!
Tahniah Amy Mastura! Betullah orang kata, rezeki ayam nampak di kaki, rezeki orang ni siapa yang tahu.

Pada 2 Mac 2010 lalu, Budiey telah dijemput untuk menghadiri satu majlis pelancaran Kempen Malaysia, Jom Lebih Sihat di Sunway Convention Centre. Majlis yang bermula pada jam 10 pagi itu telah dilancarkan sebagai pencetus resolusi untuk menggalakan seluruh warga Malaysia untuk hidup lebih sihat. Selain menyediakan peluang untuk hidup lebih bebas daripada masalah kesihatan dengan penjagaan rapi daripada produk penjagaan kebersihan.

Budiey diberitahu, produk Lifebuoy adalah sebuah produk penjagaan kebersihan atau sabun untuk menghalang pembiakan kuman terkenal seluruh dunia. Dan pada hari itu juga, secara rasminya, penyanyi genit dan comel, Amy Mastura telah dilantik memeriahkan lagi kempen ini.
Budiey rasa kempen seperti ini sangat berguna untuk masyarakat kerana pada masa sekarang, macam-macam penyakit akan datang kalau kita tidak mengamalkan kebersihan. Bukan saje penyakit kulit tapi kalau tak jaga betul-betul kebersihan diri, penyakit influenza H1N1 pun akan merebak.
Kalau kita tengok perangkaan mengikut laporan UNICEF, seramai 1.5 juta kanak-kanak 5 tahun ke bawah telah meninggal akibat dari keracunan makanan. Dijangkakan setiap satu jam, ada 2 orang kanak-kanak akan dijangkiti penyakit tangan, kaki dan mulut yang begitu mudah merebak.
Jadi, nak tak nak, sebagai langkah pencegahan, kena basuh tangan selalu ya!
Kempen ini dilancarkan berserta dengan New Advanced Lifebuoy with Active5 Germ Protection Formula yang telah pun dari bulan Mac hingga Mei 2010. Di mana melalui kempen ini, Lifebuoy akan menghadiahkan secara percuma satu bar sabun kepada setiap keluarga yang membeli produk Lfebuoy dari 1 Mac hingga 31 Mei 2010.
Di akhir tempoh kempen ini, Lifebuoy mensasarkan 1 juta sabun akan diberikan kepada semua penduduk Malaysia. Sabun ini akan diberikan mulai bulan Jun 2010 dengan sokongan HOPE worldwide, Yellow House Society and Community Support Network sebagai sebahagian daripada kunci utama grup organisasi welfare masyarakat.
Kempen dilancarkan oleh Mr. Ainul Yaqin, Director of Home and Personal Care, Unilever (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd bersama dengan Mr. Darick Wong, Programme Director of HOPE Worldwide dan Mr Law Gin Kye, President of Yellow House Society. Juga tak ketinggalan 3 orang selebriti yang menjadi duta kempen ini iaitu penyanyi dan pelakon, Amy Mastura, former national cyclist M. Kumaresan, dan pelakon & personaliti TV iaitu Loo Aye Keng.

Sekadar memetik ucapan Mr Ainul, “It is ironic that the group of people who need personal hygiene care the most – are from the underprivileged group, such as the hardcore poor, those living in slum areas and those in rural areas, who cannot afford, or do not have access to proper hygiene care products. It is something that is so common and readily available to many of us that we very often take for granted. However, for the underprivileged group, having access to good hygiene care products becomes a luxury rather than the necessity it should be. At the very least, everybody deserves access to good, proper, personal hygiene.”
Ujar beliau lagi, “This campaign reflects our continuing commitment towards the society and community, doing our part for 1Malaysia, in doing what we do best – ensuring that all Malaysians, irrespective of creed, race, or socio-economic status, are healthy at times of increased health risks.”
The launch ceremony also featured the unveiling of the results of Lifebuoy’s Human Volunteer Study, presented by Dr. Rajan Raghavachari, Lifebuoy’s Global Technical Project Leader. The large-scale clinical study was conducted on the effectiveness of Lifebuoy’s germ-protection care, resulting in 25% observed reduction in the number of diarrhoea episodes amongst participants, with 41% improvement in kids’ attendance to school without absenteeism due to illnesses.
In conjunction with this campaign, Lifebuoy aims to set a record for the first-of-its-kind giant soap structure, made up of the targeted one million soap bars, touted to be 2-storeys high. The giant structure will officially be unveiled at the closing ceremony of the campaign and will be displayed at the concourse of Sunway Pyramid for Malaysians to bear witness to the nation’s collective generosity in helping the underprivileged.
