KUALA LUMPUR, 29 OCTOBER 2011- Leading long-haul, low fare airline AirAsia X has announced special rescue fares to passengers affected by today’s grounding of Qantas planes due to ongoing industrial action.
AirAsia X CEO, Azran Osman-Rani said, “Anyone holding a valid Qantas ticket to any of our AirAsia X destinations for immediate travel in the next 48 hours can access our special rescue fares of AUD150 (RM503)* (all inclusive) one way from all AirAsia X sectors.”
“We note that it is difficult for affected passengers to seek alternative airline options in short notice and thus, we are offering this rescue fares as we are sympathetic to their plight and doing everything we can to assist with their travel plans.”
AirAsia X flies to Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth in Australia, Taiwan (Taipei), China (Chengdu, Tianjin, Hangzhou), India (Mumbai, Delhi), New Zealand (Christchurch), Japan (Tokyo, Osaka), Korea (Seoul), France (Paris), UK (London), Iran (Tehran) where passengers can access the extensive AirAsia network onto over 78 destinations.
To take advantage of this special offer, simply arrive at the AirAsia X check in/service counters at the respective airports we fly to with a valid Qantas ticket and if a seat is available, passengers will be able to purchase a seat at this special fare at any of our AirAsia X counters. AirAsia X service counters open three hours prior to flight departure to access the booking offer.
