U MOBILE TAPS INTO WIDER CONSUMER MARKET THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH COSWAY

Kuala Lumpur, 02 September 2011- U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco service provider, today announced yet another partnership with a non-traditional distributor, Cosway (M) Sdn Bhd, in widening its distribution channel to more than 22,000 outlets nationwide.

The partnership sees U Mobile’s top-ups and prepaid starter packs being carried in all Cosway 822 stockists nationwide, including East Malaysia.

Speaking about the partnership, Dr. Kaizad Heerjee, Chief Executive Officer of U Mobile Sdn Bhd said, “We’re delighted to partner with Cosway who has an immense network of outlets and a strong membership. This partnership will bring us closer to new and existing customers, and will complement our other non-traditional distribution channels such as Singer, 7-Eleven and LH Sales & Marketing.

As an additional bonus, over 600,000 Cosway members who purchase U Mobile products at Cosway outlets will be entitled to Cosway’s Redemption Coupons (RCs) programme at an exclusive rate.

For non U Mobile related purchases, Cosway members need to make purchases of up to RM30 to obtain 1 RC. However, with U Mobile special deal, members only need to purchase the Prepaid starter pack worth RM18 at Cosway to earn 1 RC.

RCs can be used to redeem any of the hundreds of items from the “Great Redemption” range at any Cosway outlets. With as low as 10 RCs, customers are entitled to Key Holders, Ladies Bag Hangers, Microwaveable Lunch Boxes, Colourful Plastic Containers and many more.
