Every early years, Asia model festival awards ( www.amfa.or.kr )open in Korea. Models from 13 countries will come and participate to get award. Last year, Lee byung hun (Iris, G.I.Joe) from Korea and Wu-chun (member of group fahrenheit) from Thaiwan awarded for Asia star award.
In Korea, there is an agent call model assossiation, www.models.or.kr they connect with asia-network which includes 13 countries and decide who to prize. However, korean model assossiation want to connect with the asia agents directly to have better relationship and be more developed.

Asia model festival is the only ceremony of awarding a prize for models and minister of culture also lead to promote this.
The model award is not only limited to fashion models and asia model agents. Actors and singers and other entertainers are included and considers the fashion shows,CF and advertisement to choose the best model for the year.
For reference, last year (2010), 2PM, 4minutes and Han Chae Yeon has awarded. Model association also process the world fashion shows, model contests and events.

The Asian Model Festival Awards is committed to the cause of protecting model rights and promoting the cultivation of modeling talent.

Following the successful 2006, 2007 KMFA, 2008, 2009, 2010 AMFA sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 2011 AMFA will be held in JW Marriot Seoul,Korea on upcoming 21st January, with participating country from Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong ,Taiwan, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Vietnam. Singapore, Malaysia, India, Thailand & etc.
Participation from Malaysia for 2011 is Kelly Jagan (female) & Wilson Tan (male) both to be awarded Model Top Star Award, Dior is specially invited as Malaysian singer who promoting Korean music in Malaysia & Amber Chia specially invited as holding top modeling agency in Malaysia.
Kelly Jagan & Wilson Tan are going to make Malaysia proud on their achievement & will spread their wings in the whole continent, especially in Korea soon.
On the other hand, Dior will be promoted as Malaysian Singer who spread the Korean culture among Malaysian & will knocking some agencies in Korean market as to roses his career internationally.
While Amber Chia is going to tie-up with Korean Model Association to work hand on hand for Korea-Malaysia model culture exchange.
With this great interest from Korea on Malaysia talent & economy, Malaysia will have more opportunity to spread their culture internationally & well known, as Korea a centre of Entertainment & fashion industry in ASIA.
