PUMA Unveils Faas Trainers, Giving Runners a Naturally Responsive Ride; Offers Malaysian’s Opportunity to Compete with Asia’s fastest and meet Usain Bolt
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA; June 21 2011 – PUMA Running is giving Malaysian’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to be recognized as the fastest man and woman in the country and compete against the fastest amateur runners in Asia. The PUMA FAAS TRAP Road Show marks the introduction of the new FAAS range of trainers that are designed for both style and performance. The Faas line is inspired by Usain Bolt – one of the world’s fastest men – and the Jamaican culture of producing world class runners who do it with speed and style.
The Faas range features bright, bold colors with unique overlays and design details for each style. PUMA Running’s new Faas Range brings the joy back into running with increased speed and performance, along with some ‘check-me-out’ designs. To help bring this to live, the FAAS TRAP Challenge Road Show will visit popular malls in Penang, the Klang Valley and Johor Bahru between July 2 – July 31 2011.
The FAAS TRAP is a challenge where you try to beat Usain Bolt’s SPEED through a time challenge in the 30 meter dash while using trainers from the new Faas collection. Using a digital speed monitor PUMA will see how fast you are and the fastest Malaysian wins! Participants stand to walk away with cash vouchers and mystery gifts. What’s more, the fastest Malaysian will then have the opportunity to visit and compete at the regional finals in Korea and potentially meet Usain Bolt in person!
The Faas Range gets its name from the Jamaican word for fast, and the name fits. The Faas Range is grounded in performance and features a biomechanical design technology exclusive to PUMA, called BioRide, that provides a naturally responsive ride – helping runners get into their own rhythm for increased speed and performance. Key Highlights from the new FAAS Running Collection
The Faas 200 Bolt (RM 239) – The Faas 200 is the lightest product in our natural running mix. Incorporating Bioride technology for a natural, responsive, and stable ride. The Faas 200 Bolt is a perfect style for racing and paced workouts.
Faas 250 (RM 219) – The Faas 250 is super lightweight neutral racer for tempo runs and racing, inspired by the rhythm of the world’s fastest country — Jamaica. It’s constructed with BioRide Technology, an integrated system that gives you a more natural and responsive ride.
Faas 300 (RM 239) – The Faas 300 is a lightweight style from the Faas Range that is built for runners who defy convention and speed on a daily basis.
