Siti Saleha is new Palmolive Brand Ambassador
A special iftar starts the beautiful journey for Palmolive and Siti Saleha
Excited buzz and eager anticipation filled the air as Siti Saleha, aspiring model/actress, was introduced as the new Palmolive brand ambassador during a special iftar Ramadan hosted by Palmolive in Giant Kota Damansara.
Speaking about the choice they made, Mr Chris Pikounis, Marketing Director of Colgate-Palmolive Marketing Sdn Bhd, said, “Siti Saleha is the perfect choice because her natural beauty, caring persona, and uplifting charm perfectly embody the Palmolive brand. In addition to being strikingly beautiful and talented, she has an incredibly pleasing and approachable personality that speaks well to our consumers and her fans.”
The 22-year-old Siti Saleha said, “I am very honoured to have been chosen as the new Palmolive brand ambassador. The brand has been around since I was a young girl, and never have I thought that I will become a ‘Palmolive girl’. I am very excited to represent and grow with Palmolive in the months to come.”
“What I love about Palmolive products is how they can make women like me feel naturally fresh and relaxed even after a simple shower. I love how they are made of natural ingredients, and they smell so good!” enthused the bubbly English-Malay beauty.
Even with her striking beauty and alluring personality, Siti Saleha—who rose to fame as the star of TV drama Nora Elena—remains grounded to her values. Despite her busy schedule, she chose a simple yet meaningful iftar or fast-breaking event as her first public appearance as Palmolive brand ambassador.
“Ramadan is a beautiful season to be grateful and to share our blessings in life. I am truly thankful for this opportunity with Palmolive, and wish to share the beginning of this journey with my fans and with those who are less fortunate.”
Siti Saleha spent a memorable evening with her special guests: lucky fans who won in the Palmolive-Giant SMS contest and teenage girls from the Sri Pantai Housing Project under the auspices of Persatuan Kebajikan Generasi Gemilang.
The Palmolive-Giant SMS contest, which ran from 3-9 August 2012, called on Siti Saleha’s fans to send via SMS and in less than 20 words why they want to break fast or berbuka puasa with Siti Saleha. The contest also required a minimum RM15 purchase of Palmolive shower gel from any Giant supermarket/hypermarket nationwide.
Abdul Halim Hadi b Abdul Rahman, a winner from Putrajaya, said, “I am so happy today because I was finally able to meet Siti Saleha in person, and not just see her in photos or on Facebook.”
Sahariza bt Baharudin, another winner who comes from Penang, added, “Siti Saleha is my favourite artist and I am so excited to finally meet her. Thank you Colgate-Palmolive for making my dream come true.”
On the other hand, the girls from Persatuan Kebajikan Generasi Gemilang were surprised with a shopping spree with Siti Saleha in Giant Hypermarket, where Palmolive treated each guest to a RM100 voucher to purchase basic necessities and new clothes for the upcoming Aidilfitri festivities. The girls also received goodie bags with Palmolive products, and enjoyed a special buka puasa with Siti Saleha after.
The special iftar Ramadan and Palmolive-Giant SMS contest are only among Siti Saleha’s first few projects with Palmolive. There is also an on-going Palmolive Raya Shopping Spree contest from now until 31 August 2012, where lucky winners stand a chance to win a RM10,000 shopping spree with Siti Saleha.
