Empowering workshop by Malaysian celebrities
SinclairFalak Sdn Bhd is offering everyone the chance to explore his or her inner performer with the Acting Saved My Life! Workshop on 31st July 2010, conducted by renowned Indonesian-based Malaysian actor, Ashraf Sinclair.
Back with their 7th workshop, SinclairFalak aims to enrich and give back to the local entertainment industry by offering insider information, tips and tricks on what can help actors and aspiring actors get a deeper insight in this business and also for people just looking to enhance their lives.
Previous workshops have also included celebrity participants like Henry Golding (ESPN host), Elza Irdalynna (actress), Christian Neal Capes (Producer, MTV VJ Hunt 2010 Finalist) and even entrepreneurs, students and stay-at-home mothers from all over Malaysia.
“I intend to bring something new to the workshop this time around, since I myself have gained many new experiences and enriched my acting career since breaking into the extremely competitive Indonesian Entertainment Industry. And I am looking forward to share all the knowledge I have gained to the aspiring actors out there. Not only that, I have invited two of my Malaysian celebrity friends to share their experiences too.” Beamed Celebrity trainer, Ashraf Sinclair, famous for his leading roles in hit films Gol & Gincu, Saus Kacang and TV series Sekar and Cinta Dan Anugerah.
Previous guest celebrity trainer’s who have joined in and shared their experience in previous workshops are actor Tony Eusoff, stand up comedian Douglas Lim, actress and TV host Cheryl Samad & actor Nazril Idrus.
Open to all above the age of 16, participants will be focusing on topics key to an actor’s performance such as strengthening memory which is useful for digesting the script; concentration and focus; boosting confidence, which is great for everyone, not just an actor on stage; and heightening energy and awareness because no matter what time of day it is, an actor always has to be ready to go into a scene, with full energy!
The Acting Saved My Life! Acting workshop is one of the ‘Success Series’ workshops; aimed to provide participants with the tools they need to succeed, not just in the entertainment, but also in life. From workshops on building a financial fortress, to developing your own personal brand, to how to prepare the perfect profile and even on acing auditions.
This year the workshop receives the nod and helping hand from local government body Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara, Kementerian Penerangan Komunikasi dan Kebudayaan. They will be a key contributor by providing the venue for this workshop in Bangunan MAS, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. Furthermore there will be workshop participation by the Kementerian where they recognize the workshop will contribute to the advancement of their personnel career and well being.
